For the main summer season, Galerie Klatovy/Klenová is planning an exhibition of paintings and drawings by painter Theodor Pištěk. The exhibition will present a selection of drawings and paintings by adn artist whom the Czech public also knows as an exceptionally successful costume designer. Pištěk's best known paintings are his photorealistic works from the 1970s, but his body of work is far more diverse – after all, he has been painting seriously since the late 1950s. The exhibition in Klatovy reflects the breadth and intensity of Pištěk's work by presenting paintings from all important periods in his career, thus taking viewers on a tour of his distinctive world full of illusions, mysteries, and surprising visual narratives.
