CHURCH OF SAINT LAWRENCE IN KLATOVY

The third installation of “Shared Journeys” presents a wide range of approaches to contemporary art from our region by exhibiting works by members of Klatovy's and Pilsen's Union of Fine Artists from the Pilsen Region. New this year, the exhibition will also show works by members of the Upper Palatinate Artists' Union from Weiden, with whom the Pilsen group has worked together closely since 2007.

The exhibited works include paintings, drawings, graphics, ceramics, sculptures, “aradekor” textiles and silk paintings, bookbinding and illustrations, and design. It is a broad scope that is difficult to exhibit properly but that is especially impressive in the beautiful baroque interior of the former Jesuit Church of St. Lawrence.

The exhibition is presented in collaboration with the City of Klatovy, Galerie Klatovy / Klenová, the Union of Fine Artists from the Pilsen Region, and ART-KT, and is held in conjunction with the “Pilsen: European Capital of Culture” celebrations.
