In recent years, the art of Jaroslav Macek has been inspired by the traditions and symbolism of the mandala, in particular Tibetan Buddhism and the sacral Tantric art of the Himalayas.

It is also based on the philosophical tradition of the European myth of the labyrinth. In his work, Macek is also interested in astronomy and the mythology of dead civilizations.
He has exhibited and participated in group exhibitions in France (Boulogne-sur-Mer, Nantes, Rouen, Paris) and the Czech Republic (Prague, Třebíč, Kutná Hora).
Since 2011, Macek has exhibited at the annual Paris salon of abstract art, RÉALITÉS NOUVELLES.
