Václav Hynčík is a native of Klatovy who spent his childhood in Nová Ves u Kdyně in the Bohemian Forest. Nevertheless, he has spent the past more than 50 years living in Pilsen.

A photographer and visual artist, Hynčík graduated form the Faculty of Education in Pilsen and later from the Film and TelevisionAcademy in Prague.

After beginning to be artistically active in 1975, Hynčík's main area of work was fine art photography depicting various landscapes, architecture or the busy world of human society, all with an emphasis on detail and on taking a personal point of view.

Hynčík has exhibited his works at many exhibitions in the CzechRepublic and abroad. His original series of photographs have appeared at solo exhibitions and as a member of a particular art group. In recent years, his series of large-format photographs have also appeared on city sidewalks, where they directly address passers-by.
