Martin Šárovec / ECHOES

Martin Šárovec studied alternative and puppet scenography at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (1997–2002), followed by painting at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, from which he received his Ph.D. in 2007.

The exhibition by this young Prague artist with the title “Echoes” is an outgrowth of his perception of the contemporary world and a discovery of the interrelationship between personal identity, the observation of societal phenomena, and his own genetic foundation.
The works exhibited at the White Unicorn Gallery include pieces Šárovec created over the past eight years – paintings, drawings, and objects (ready-mades) representing several series reflecting his diverse thematic periods.
The opening reception will feature a performance by Petr Ferenc's NOICE/MINIMAL – HONNORÉ DE CLOBASS.
