Chateau Klenová
25. 8. - 31. 10. 2024
Jaroslav Král (1883–1942) is one of the most important Czech artists of the first half of the 20th century. His paintings and drawings influenced by Cubism and Neoclassicism can be found in many public and private collections, including the National Gallery in Prague and the Moravian Gallery in Brno. This exhibition featuring works drawn exclusively from private collections has been built around a set of Král’s excellent drawings (many of them studies for his paintings) and more than ten oil paintings from his peak period in the 1920s and 1930s.
