Forgetting was first shown in February 2021 at Vienna’s Künstlerhaus. Erasing and forgetting are an inextricable part of the physiological processes of human perception. They are a part of individual and collective memory. They influence our existence and shape our identity. Forgetting presents five artistic visions from Austria, the Czech Republic, and Germany, with each artist taking a different approach to exploring the theme of “forgetting and remembering.” What dimension does forgetting have from the viewpoint of the individual and the family? And what is its social or political dimension?
